Your cactus has arrived — and now it’s time to help it settle in and thrive.

Follow these simple, sacred steps to give your new friend the perfect start:

Step 1: Unveil and Inspect

Gently unwrap your cactus like the precious gift it is. ✨

Check it over — a few battle scars from travel are normal, but if you spot any soft spots or issues present please reach out to us for additional guidance!

Step 2: A Little Trim, A Little Love

If the roots look dry, messy, or damaged, give them a tiny trim with clean scissors.

Think of it as a fresh haircut — setting the stage for new growth and new beginnings.

Step 3: Let It Breathe (Drying Time)

Lay your cactus in a shady, airy place.

No pots, no water — just fresh air and good vibes. 🌀

Wait 3 days — this protects your cactus from rot and disease.

Step 4: Prepare the Perfect Home

Mix up some magic:

Fill a pot with Spiritual Strata - our custom mix of inorganic media the ultimate drainage blend.
if you purchased a succulent or other plant that may need more water or moisture you can ad up to 30-50% sifted organic matter depending on the plant.
Choose a pot with holes so energy (and water) flows freely. 🌎

Step 5: Pot with Intention

Place your cactus gently into its new home.

Tuck the media around it like you’re tucking in a dear friend for a good night’s sleep. 🌙 try not to damage the plant and softly pour the media to to base of the plant

No need to bury it too deep — just deep enough to hold.

Step 6: Wait and Trust

Hold off watering — seriously, no water yet!

Let your cactus breathe and settle for 5 to 10 days.

Patience is powerful medicine. 🕯️

*If you purchased a succulent or other plant that needs more water you might be able to water sooner.

Step 7: The First Blessing (Watering)

After the wait, give it a small, gentle watering at the base of the cactus — just enough to moisten the top 2 inches of media.

Then… let the media dry completely before watering again. Maybe 5-7 days. Cactus roots love a good dry spell. 🌵💧

Step 8: Grow and Glow

Place your new cactus in soft, indirect light at first.

Slowly introduce it to brighter rays over a few weeks.
